After travelling to various Teertha Kshetras across India Sri Guru finally came to Ganagapura and settled down here till the conclusion of his Avatara.

The accounts of Shri Gurus various miraculous Deeds are narrated in Great detail from 22nd to 52nd Adhyay of Shri Guru Charitra.
“अम्ही अस्तो याची ग्रामीं । नित्य स्नान अमरजासंगमीं । वसों माध्यान्हीं मठधामीं । गुप्तरुपें अवधारा ”

These were the very words uttered by Sri Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj to his grief-stricken disciples when they were weeping profusely upon hearing about Sri Gurus decision to proceed to Shrishailyam for his Avatara Samapti. Here Sri Guru assures all his Devotees that he will be Staying at his Math at Sri Kshetra Ganagapur forever in his Nirguna Aspect. He shall take bath at the Sangam River at dawn and visit village at Noon for Madhukari Bhiksha in disguise. The Math where Sri Guru stayed came to be known widely as Nirgun Math.
